Reclaimed Barnwood

E&S Reclaimed Barnwood is derived from an eclectic mix of reclaimed, re-purposed and recycled wood materials from sources throughout the United States. Making efficient their origins, they are proposed in small tile formats for interior use on feature wall & ceilings (not suitable for flooring). The material provides for natural variations and characteristics, as no two pieces of wood are alike. The material is uniquely coated with a ceramic finish providing durability while conserving its aesthetic.

Reclaimed Barnwood is available in 4 color variations; Natural, Gunstock, White Wash & Raw Flats. The material is supplied in loose pieces or panels with a backing support. This variation in thickness provides a dimensional texture which is highly sought in today’s architecture and design.

Also featuring Shou Sugi Bahn styled barnwood! For centuries Japanese craftsman have been practicing a technique where wood, most often cedar, is charred to improve the durability for use as siding, fencing, and decking, while also creating an artistic and unique finish. We love this look and were able to find a way to mimic the charring effect by using our reclaimed barnwood and a no VOC organic vegetable die to create a similar color and texture pattern and use it to create our beautiful design minded mosaic wood wall tiles. Instead of charring the underlying material, this look is achieved using a combination of rough textured “dead-fall” timber with a series of vegetable dye treatments. In doing so we created a product that was both commercially consistent and free of the odor most typically associated with charred wood. Finished with our ceramic coating and available in sophisticated designs, our Shou Sugi Bahn tiles come out of the box ready for your residential or commercial project.

Installation is easy using a contact adhesive. Most pieces are supplied on a backing making it easy to configure. Pieces cut easily using a saw. Detailed installation instructions are supplied with each order.
